StoryCrafters, Ink. Now Offers Story Critique and Development Services for Aspiring and Professional Authors

StoryCrafters, Ink began as a small group of literature and storytelling aficionados hoping to recruit local writers and share their talents amongst one another in a co-op of creativity. Their ranks swelled soon after, leading them to research the possibility of widening the scope of the endeavor.

They worked together to build a website, then solicited clients on social media by offering to critique short stories for free. The response was overwhelming – in just two weeks, they had received over 100 critique requests.

“Aspiring writers have very few avenues to receive a professional look at their work,” Mark Johnson, an organizer for the group, said. “We just want to help our fellow creatives with achieving their dreams.”

StoryCrafters, Ink offers story critique and development services for short stories, novels, novels, non-fiction pieces, poetry and other forms of literature. StoryCrafters, Ink. also offers screenplay coverage and critical analysis services. Their basic package – the “critical analysis / critique service” provides writers with a 3-5 page thematic, plot and characterization analysis of their submission. They also offer professional revision and proofreading services.

For writers looking to engage with their readership, StoryCrafters also offer an “author sites” service, providing a highly visible, easily accessible, web-based platform and social media plan.

Every “StoryCrafter”, a term for their reviewers, has earned at least a graduate level degree in their creative discipline, and many are currently pursuing their PhDs. We also require every StoryCrafter to provide proof of having created a substantial body of work (beyond their Master’s thesis) in their discipline.

“We truly believe in the power of the narrative,” Mr. Pendergraft says. “Literature has, and always will be, the driving force for social change.”

Writers can take aim at writer’s block and reclaim their creativity today. VisitStoryCrafters, Ink.
